Cuba, Thailand hold tribute to Vietnamese President

(VOVWORLD) - The Cuban Council of State said in televised statement that Cuba would observe a national day of mourning for Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang who passed way on Friday (Hanoi time) at 62. 

Cuba will hold a memorial service for President Quang from 6 hour on Saturday to 24 hour on Sunday (local time) and a national day of mourning on Monday. The statement said during the national day of mourning, on public buildings and military headquarters nationwide, flags will be flown at half-mast and there will be no public entertainment activities.

Thailand’s Prime Minister Office on Saturday asked government agencies and sectors all over the country to lower flags to half-mast from Monday to Wednesday in remembrance of Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang.
