“Experience Vietnamese Tet” at Museum of Ethnology

(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology on Friday launched the program "Experience Vietnamese Tet" for the public to learn about the beauty of traditional Lunar New Year Festival (Tet), which is just one week away.

Visitors will be invited to erect bamboo trees, wrap banh chung (square sticky rice cakes), write calligraphy, make Dong Ho folk paintings, perform water puppetry, and listen to talks on the Year Dragon.

Children can play folk games such as tug of war, badminton, playing cards, tossing shuttlecocks, and pushing sticks as well as discover the 12 zodiac animals through drawing pictures or creating cutie To He toy figurines made from glutinous rice powder.

The program will run until February 18 at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi.

From February 13 to 16, there will be spring opening activities, including Ai Lao singing and dancing, water puppetry, calligraphy, to he making, and Muong culture to be explored through bamboo calendars, gongs, and cuisine.

From February 17 to 18, the Museum will host the program "Happy Spring of Dragon Year: Cultural nuances of Hoi An".
