(VOVWORLD) -Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa province Saturday officially opened a new terminal for international services which has a total investment of over 3.7 trillion VND (164 million USD).
After 19 months of construction, the new terminal T2 was put into use to ease the serious overloading of Terminal 1. It is the first airport terminal in Vietnam to be built upon 4-star international standards.
The three-storey terminal covers an area of over 50,000 sq.m and is designed to shape like a swallow’s nest – a specialty and symbol of Khanh Hoa.
The terminal is capable of serving 2.4 to 4.5 million passengers each year and after the second phase completes, its capacity can reach 6 – 8 million passengers per year by 2030.
