(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang chaired a meeting of the National Assembly delegation for Ho Chi Minh City and local businesspeople.  The meeting was co-organized by the NA delegation and Ho Chi Minh City’s Fatherland Front, to mark Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13.

President Quang said that deeper global integration and Vietnam’s engagement in free trade agreements have opened new development space for Vietnam’s economy.  Vietnamese entrepreneurs have opportunities to access 80% of the global market with a 0% tax rate, high technology, and managerial advancement.

President Quang said that Vietnamese entrepreneurs should build a stronger business community to ensure the independence and self-reliance of the national economy, and that Ho Chi Minh City’s businesses should take the lead in national economic development and promote the city’s advantages.
