(VOVworld) - Syria's field commanders on Saturday declared their forces' readiness to launch massive operations to purge Aleppo city of the Takfiri terrorists.

Syrian field commander Mazen Hadiveh said that Khan Touman which has been recently recaptured is a good base for the Syrian army's advances to other parts of Aleppo province and also breaking the terrorists' siege of Idlib province.

The Syrian Army troops and popular forces continued to target the gatherings of al-Nusra Front in the southern part of Aleppo province, inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists.

Conflicts in Syrian broke out since March 2011 with numerous anti-government demonstrations and turned into a civil war killing 270,000 people so far. Though a partly ceasefire in Syria took effect since February, Syria still witnesses gun fires in a couple of recent weeks, particularly around the Aleppo.
