Vietnam to export avocados to US
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is working to export Vietnam’s avocados to the US – a major consumer of the fruit.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, the US spent 2.4 billion USD on importing one million tons of avocados in 2018. 51% of American families consumed avocados with a yearly spending of 24.5 USD.
The Central Highlands have the biggest avocado farms and enjoy the most robust output in Vietnam due to its unique terrain, climate and soil conditions. Local avocados are preferred by domestic and foreign consumers thanks to their large size, appealing appearance, and rich nutrition.
