Winter blooms beckon on Moc Chau Plateau

From early December, snow-white plum blossoms begin to bloom, spreading their pristine color across the rolling hills of Moc Chau Plateau.

Thanks to the careful tending of local farmers and the application of staggered plum-growing techniques, along with favorable weather conditions, visitors no longer have to wait until the days approaching Lunar New Year, when temperatures typically grow warmer, to enjoy the sight of these blossoms.

Gardens that seem to be in their winter dormancy are gently awakened, turning the area into an attractive “check-in” destination for visitors in the early winter days.

The plum flowers appear in delicate clusters and soft streaks, creating a gentle beauty unique to Moc Chau amid the morning mist.

Along with the seasonal transition, Moc Chau Plateau at this time also glows with the golden hues of mustard flowers.

Sown in September, mustard seeds burst into bloom by December, blanketing hillsides like vast, pure, and velvety carpets, bringing a sense of peace and romance to the landscape.

Previously grown mainly for seeds, mustard fields have been creatively transformed into an appealing stop for visitors.

To maintain blooming flowers throughout the winter, local farmers do not all plants all at once. Instead, the land is divided into different sections, with staggered planting schedules. The garden space has also been thoughtfully designed, with decorative features and photo spots arranged to offer visitors a variety of check-in spots.
