Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has set January 15, 2026 as the new deadline for completing the reconstruction of all houses destroyed by recent floods and storms in the central region. He issued the directive on December 30 while chairing a conference on the “Quang Trung Campaign” to build and repair homes for affected families.

"Quang Trung Campaign", inspired by King Quang Trung and his "lightning-fast" military tactics, symbolizes the decisive action of the Vietnamese Government. Its goal is to rebuild housing for flood victims in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands before January 15, 2026. This key national campaign is aimed at ensuring social welfare and adaptation to climate change through "safe house" models that can withstand strong storms and floods.
