The Internet went out in the nation around 7h30 pm local time on Saturday and could not resume until 9h30 pm, according to Dyn Research, an Internet management performance company that measures global Internet traffic. Earlier in the day, Pyongyang had blamed the US for internet outages in North Korea over the past days in the wake of a row over the hacking of Sony Pictures and a film featuring a fictional plot to kill Kim Jong-un.
