Today, Cat Dang lacquer products are widely used in Vietnam and highly sought-after exports in markets around the world.

[VOVWORLD] - In a small village in Ky Lua ward, Lang Son province, amid looms, weaving machines, and rows of indigo-dyed fabric, the Nung Phan Slinh women of Hop Tan hamlet are preserving their traditional embroidery and brocade-weaving craft and the cultural legacy of their people. Every motif woven into a garment reflects the lifestyle, customs, and spirit of the Nung ethnic community.

[VOVWORLD] - Famed for its masterful statue sculpture and lacquer gilding, Son Dong craft village in Hanoi has entered a new era after officially joining the World Crafts Council and the World Creative Craft Cities Network on May 8. The recognition opens up major opportunities to elevate the village’s brand and product value on the international market.

[VOVWORLD] - Many young people in Lam Thuong commune, Lao Cai province, are turning traditional stilt houses and a rich indigenous culture into tourism industry. Their efforts are creating sustainable livelihoods at home, preserving ethnic identities, and promoting tourism of Vietnam’s northern mountain region.

[VOVWORLD] - Women’s unions in Thai Nguyen province have launched “Safe Village” and “Safe Residential Area” models to create a healthy environment for women and girls in communities. The initiatives have also helped raise public awareness about civilized and united neighborhoods.

[VOVWORLD] - A community project called “Sketching Heritage” has attracted many young architects to Lo Village, Hoa Hiep ward, Dak Lak province, to capture the traditional architecture of this coastal village through sketches.

[VOVWORLD] - Phu Tan commune in An Giang province is the birthplace of Hoa Hao Buddhism. The local Buddhist community practices its faith in line with its principles and teachings, with support from local authorities in accordance with the law.
