Many Vietnamese families are setting up "tech-free zones" – small breaks in the day from phones and social media to preserve the simple but precious connections between family members.

A Hanoian named Vien Hong Quang, 31, has restored and colorized hundreds of old photographs and interviews with historical figures, including valuable footage of President Ho Chi Minh.

[VOVWORLD] - The border region of Lang Son has a large population of Tay, Nung, and Dao ethnic minorities, many of whom have limited proficiency in the Vietnamese language. It’s difficult for them to access information, particularly legal matters. To communicate effectively and forge closer bonds with locals, the Vietnam Border Guard force has extensively learned and used ethnic languages as part of their duty of protecting border security.
