(VOVworld) – The semifinal for northern region of the 5th Vietnam Journalists’ Singing Festival 2016 was held on August 17 at the Au Co Art Center, Hanoi. The event organized by the Vietnam Journalists’ Association followed successes of the semifinals for southern and central regions.

Competitors included reporters and editors from the Vietnam Journalists’ Association’s branches in northern provinces
13 excellent songs were selected from 50 songs at qualifying round to compete at the semifinal.
Repertoires were staged thoroughly and sophisticatedly.

The organizing board presented awards to competitiors who advanced to the final round to be held in Ho Chi Minh city.
