Speaking at a meeting on implementing Resolution 59 of the Politburo on international integration in the new context held by the National Steering Committee on International Integration, Prime Minister Chinh noted that since its adoption, Resolution 59 has expanded and upgraded Vietnam’s network of partnerships, deepened Vietnam’s bilateral relations and broadened cooperation across multiple fields. Since January 2025, Vietnam has upgraded ties with nine countries, raising the total number of partners with which Vietnam has Comprehensive Partnership status or higher to 38.
The Prime Minister emphasized that international integration has truly become an important driving force in strengthening domestic capacity and contributing significantly to national development. In the past seven months, Vietnam’s total export turnover reached over 514 billion USD, while registered and disbursed foreign direct investment (FDI) hit 24 billion USD, placing Vietnam among the world’s top 15 developing economies in FDI attraction
The Prime Minister also urged for completion of the draft National Assembly resolution on special mechanisms and policies for international integration to ensure that integration truly serve as a driver of national development.
