Like people of other groups, the Mong put all work aside to celebrate Tet, Vietnamese annual biggest festival.

Cow fighting is one of the most exciting activities during Tet.

A Mong man says that a cow competing in the event costs between VND10 million and VND100 million.

Mong men always play Khen during New Year celebrations to express love, enhance community bonding, and praise the nature. Young Mong men enjoy playing the Khen and dancing to show off their strength, sensibility, and skills.

Mong people visit their relatives and friends to extend their Tet greetings.
