Since 2004, Vietnam has maintained a national steering committee to coordinate its annual participation in the China-ASEAN Expo.
At this year's expo, Vietnam will have the largest pavilion among ASEAN countries, featuring 120 businesses and organizations from 22 provinces and cities across the country. Besides showcasing and promoting the sale of key Vietnamese products, the pavilion at CAEXPO 2026 aims to link exports with industrial cooperation, investment, and technology partnerships.
Drawing on her experience from several editions of the expo, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, a representative of a Vietnamese business, said: "By participating in the expo, customers can directly access and experience our products, as well as assess our production processes. Their feedback has been very positive, and many partners have expressed interest in long-term cooperation with us."
AI cooperation is a key focus of CAEXPO 2026, aimed at advancing agreements signed between China and ASEAN countries, including Vietnam.
On prospects for AI cooperation with Vietnam, Wei Tao, chairman of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said: "Building on this strong cooperation, we will continue to promote AI cooperation between Guangxi and Vietnam. First, we will establish a solid mechanism and platform for dialogue, exchanges, and coordination on AI. Second, we will jointly develop Vietnamese-language and specialized large models. Third, we will encourage businesses and research institutes on both sides to form joint research teams and pilot AI applications. Fourth, we will deepen cooperation in human resources training."
Vietnam has been Guangxi's largest trading partner for 27 consecutive years, with bilateral trade surpassing 44.7 billion USD for the first time in 2025.
