[VOVWORLD] - The Ho Chi Minh City Military Command said on Saturday that 52 sets of martyrs’ remains were recovered on Friday and Saturday during search operations at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City.

[VOVWORLD] - The central province of Gia Lai is mobilizing personnel and resources to achieve the goals of the nationwide 500-day campaign to accelerate the search, recovery, and identification of martyrs’ remains.

[VOVWORLD] - More than 7,000 samples from martyrs’ remains have been safely transported from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi for DNA testing and identification.

[VOVWORLD] - Tay Ninh province has completed the collection of DNA samples from martyrs’ remains for identification, the provincial Steering Committee for the Search, Recovery and Identification of Martyrs’ Remains announced on Saturday.

[VOVWORLD] - A special military flight on Friday transported more than 7,000 biological samples collected from the remains of fallen soldiers from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi for DNA testing and identification.

[VOVWORLD] - The 500-day-and-night campaign to search for, recover, and identify fallen soldiers is underway from March 15, 2026, to July 27, 2027. To date, 9 of Vietnam’s 34 provinces and centrally governed cities had completed the collection of samples from martyrs’ remains ahead of schedule.

[VOVWORLD] - Through the Vietnam Wartime Accounting Initiative (VWAI), the Embassy of Vietnam in the US is connecting records, data, witnesses, and technology to support the location, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers' remains.

[VOVWORLD] - The Ho Chi Minh City High Command’s task force processed 500 cubic meters of soil and debris and recovered 30 sets of martyrs' remains plus 16 associated artifacts in the city’s Le Thi Rieng Park over the weekend.

[VOVWORLD] - The pain of war remains unresolved, with hundreds of thousands of fallen soldiers still awaiting identification. Launched nationwide, the “500-day campaign” is a sacred mission driven by a deep sense of gratitude and remembrance. It mobilizes forces to overcome hardships, painstakingly searching through layers of earth and rock to recover the remains and restore the names of those who sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland.

[VOVWORLD] - Search teams recovered the remains of more than 30 martyrs at the memorial site dedicated to Heroic Martyr Le Thi Rieng in Le Thi Rieng Park, Ho Chi Minh City, on Sunday. Numerous personal artifacts were also discovered at the site.
