During his visit to Canada, His Excellency To Lam will take part in engagements in Ottawa to further strengthen the ties between Canada and Vietnam.
According to the statement, Vietnam is an important partner for Canada in the Indo-Pacific, and a valued partner within APEC and the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF).
Canada noted that the two countries enjoy broad, long-standing relations, with robust co-operation both bilaterally and multilaterally, deep people-to-people ties, a growing trade and economic partnership, and close collaboration on energy security and climate action.
