Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan affirmed that participating in UN peacekeeping operations is an important part of Vietnam’s foreign policy, contributing to affirming the country as an active and responsible member of the international community.
She emphasized that Vietnam wishes to continue working with the UN and the international community to strengthen cooperation, share responsibility and make more practical and effective contributions to peace, security, cooperation and sustainable development around the world.
Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 8 comprises 63 military personnel from military regions, army corps, military hospitals, the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations and other military agencies and units. It will replace Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 7 at UNMISS in Bentiu, South Sudan.
Engineering Unit Rotation 5 consists of 184 personnel from the Air Defence – Air Force Service, the Navy, military regions, army corps and the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations. It will replace Engineering Unit Rotation 4 at UNISFA.
