(VOVWORLD) - Hue Festival 2022 will stay open all year round under a theme of “the four seasons”. Cultural, art, and tourism activities will take place throughout the year with Hue Festival Week in June being the highlight.

The four-season Hue Festival will include a rural market festival near tile-roofed Thanh Toan bridge, the Phuoc Tich ancient village festival, and a culinary festival.
The Hue Festival has been on hold for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So far, five other countries have registered to take part in the Hue Festival Week in June – France, Belgium, Spain, Israel, and Sri Lanka.
Hue Festival Week will include an ao dai pageant, a colorful street carnival, and a Trinh Cong Son music night.
Mr. Huynh Tien Dat, Director of the Hue Festival Center, said Hue Festival 2022 will take place along the two banks of Perfume river.
“In the past, the Hue Festival lasted only one week. The new model will feature events typical of each season of the year,” said Dat.

Over the past 20 years the Hue Festival has become a famous cultural and art festival that attracts crowds of domestic and foreign visitors. It has lured more tourists to Hue, which now welcomes more than 4 million visitors a year.
“The festival aims to promote the image of Hue and its rich culture to foreign friends. The Hue Festival has become a trademark that promotes the province’s cultural tourism,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien-Hue’s People’s Committee.
