This is a profound statement. Acting this role, I tried to express the spirit of the character to make the audience understand better our glorious national history and inspire patriotism and national pride among young people”.

Particularly, the producer enlisted the help of the HUB arts club to make the play more contemporary. Scriptwriter Chu Thom says the play optimizes typical features of traditional reformed opera to depict different spaces and historical periods: “It’s interesting to express such a modern topic in a folk theatre genre like Cai Luong or reformed opera. I like the way the producer set up the stage and got young people involved in the play. This will help the younger generation better understand national history. This is a successful play”.
