On November 9, 1946, the National Assembly passed the country's first Constitution. Democratic values, human rights, citizen rights, and the ideology of organizing a State of the people, by the people and for the people stipulated in the 1946 Constitution have been consistently acknowledged throughout all subsequent Constitutions and the entire legal system. Information about the law has been disseminated to the public.

This year Lang Son province has organized 300 communications sessions on the Traffic Law and the Environmental Protection Law for 35,600 Youth Union members and students.

Nguyen Huy Hoang, Secretary of the Lang Son provincial People's Procuracy, said many mock trials have been organized to propagate basic knowledge of the law to young people.

"The mock trials are based on real trials and follow all the prescribed procedures in order to provide legal knowledge to students, helping to reduce legal violations in the province," said Hoang.

For Vietnam Law Day, Lao Cai province has organized musical performances, skits, discussions, and quizzes on the theme of Marriage and Family Law, the Labor Code, and the Law on Grassroots Conciliation.

Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Justice of Lao Cai province, said Lao Cai needs to adapt communications to the language and culture of each of 25 ethnic groups in the province.

"To communicate the provisions of the law in easy-to-understand words requires skill and careful attention. We must make every effort to fulfill our responsibility," said Thuy.

Disseminating legal information is an important task which must be done regularly and effectively to help people understand the role of law in national socio-economic development.
