Da Nang supports foreign investors

(VOVWORLD) - Da Nang city recently held a seminar to help FDI businesses resolve difficulties and honor the city’s promise to help them expand their operation.

The seminar aimed to help FDI  businesses understand investment and visa procedures and issues concerning the management of foreigners, work permits, land, construction, taxes, customs, and trade.

At the seminar, local authorities answered questions about procedures for foreign investors entering Vietnam, bringing foreign personnel to Vietnam to conduct training, and hiring foreign experts to work in Vietnam.

Pham Dinh Thanh Hoang, Director of the Business Support Center,  Department of Planning and Investment of Da Nang, said: "FDI businesses discussed with functional agencies problems they face during their operation, procedures related to tax, import and export, foreign workers, visas, and many other procedures."

Da Nang city leaders emphasized the important role of FDI enterprises in the city's socio-economic development, especially in production, export, and job generation, and highlighted FDI businesses’ contributions to helping local businesses participate in the global value chain and restructure toward modern industry. Da Nang promised to build a healthy investment environment and help FDI enterprises resolve difficulties.

Da Nang city has more than 1,000 active FDI projects with a total investment of more than 4.2 billion USD. These projects are focused on services, trade, manufacturing, and information technology.
