Flyer – Vietnam’s first virtual English training platform following Cambridge Qualifications

(VOVWORLD) - The Cambridge qualifications are one of the most valuable certificates in English recognized around the world. Studying for the Cambridge qualifications is fun and interesting more than ever thanks to Flyer, Vietnam’s first virtual English training platform for these certificates. In this edition of Digital Life, we will talk with Tung Nguyen, Flyer’s co-founder, to learn more about this English platform for kids.
Ngoc Huyen: Hello! Welcome  to Digital Life on VOV24/7.

Tung Nguyen: Hi, VOV! Thanks to VOV to give me a chance to introduce about Flyer. I’m Tung Nguyen, co-founder of Flyer, an English testing platform for kids.

Ngoc Huyen: What is Flyer offering to kids for learning Cambridge English?

Tung Nguyen: We are the first and only one platform which is seriously focusing on testing skills. Our philosophy is that we need to know what the kid’s level is first. Then we can design a roadmap for kids to reach their destination without wasting their time. Secondly, we have top-notched developers to make every lesson interactive so that kids have no boring time with Flyer. Last but not least, Flyer invests a lot of time building Flyer gamification mode. Every time kids take in the test or challenge in Flyer, they can collect gems. And every last week of a month, we will give prizes to the top five kids and they will make presentation videos to compete with other kids. At the moment, students can experience Flyer for free. We name each exercise under a challenge and students can do each one from each level from primary school, such as Starter, Mover, Flyer, TOEFL Primary, and for secondary school, such as KET and PET level. Besides, we are opening a national contest for every primary student in VN. The kids will be competing with each other and the best will get a prize, which is a bicycle. The top 12 kids can finally go to the final contest in 2022 and the top of 12 kids will get a summer camp next year in Singapore.

Ngoc Huyen: How has the feedback been from your customers?

Tung Nguyen: We are so lucky that we build an ideas that have never been built before and we are getting a lot of good feedback from English centers and teacher at first. That’s why we took a deep research in our idea and take request from our customers to design a premium product. We decide to focus 100% of our time to build Flyer. At the moment, we are having nearly 300 English teachers in primary school and from agents to distribute Flyer for us. Besides, we have over 100 English center owners to help us distribute Flyer to their students. And in October, we also had an ICT news in Korea, who write about us with good feedback about Flyer for people in Korea. They do believe in our quality. If students can do all challenges in each level of Flyer platform at the moment with maximum results, our academic team do believe that students can achieve desirable Cambridge certificate.

Ngoc Huyen: To keep students engaged, Flyer updates content every day and new functions monthly. Can you tell us more details about what Flyer is going to have in the coming weeks?

Tung Nguyen: Flyer currently has full four skills as speaking, writing, listening, and reading. We do upgrade at each level, for example, the next month, we will be adding AI function to evaluate students’ speaking skill. AI will tell students which words they pronounce wrong. Besides, with writing skills, students can save their work and have an AI assistant to correct the grammar. Some people say that education is more boring than other fields so our team needs to be patient because the process of a growing product is not as quick as in entertainment field, like game, or fintech platform. We’re aiming that by 2023, we will have one million students to come and enjoy studying with Flyer and get their kills improved.

Ngoc Huyen: Thank you very much for sharing your English platform for kids with us today, Tung. That was Tung Nguyen, Flyer’s  co-founder on VOV24/7’s Digital Life.
