Athletes competed for three distances: 5km, 10km, and 15km, starting from the foot of Ngu Nhac Mountain and finishing at the Kiep Bac relic site.

The running tournament is part of the Con Son-Kiep Bac Spring Festival themed “Journey to Connect Cultural Heritages”, especially the Con Son and Kiep Bac special national relic sites.

The tournament helps promote physical exercise for all people following the example of President Ho Chi Minh. This is also an opportunity for Hai Duong Province to promote its land and people as well as highlight the global values of the Con Son-Kiep Bac special national relic sites.

A dossier is being prepared to be submitted to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for recognition as a World Heritage Site for the Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem Relic Complex at Con Son-Kiep Bac.
