100,000 apartments for low-income earners to be built nationwide in 2025
(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Construction aims to complete construction of over 100,000 housing units for low-income earners nationwide in 2025, based on data from local authorities.

The national urbanization rate is projected to reach at least 45%, according to a construction sector's meeting held in Hanoi on Saturday to review 2024 performance and work out plan for 2025.
This is part of the mega-project, approved in April 2023, which targets the construction of at least one million social housing units during the 2021-30 period.
To date, 644 social housing projects have been launched nationwide. In addition, the 4.7 billion USD credit program supporting social housing has been put into action.
Over the past year, the Ministry of Construction, in cooperation with the Government Office, has organized multiple meetings to resolve difficulties and accelerate social housing development.
