(VOVworld) - Two people were injured and another nine are missing following an explosion at a chemical plant in China's eastern Shandong Province on Wednesday, local authorities said.

The blast occurred at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday in a workshop at the Tianbao Chemical Industry Company in Linyi City. The Tianbao Chemical plant, founded in 1958, is a manufacturer of explosive materials for civil use. The cause of the blast is being investigated.
