2017 Russian Cultural Days open in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - The 2017 Russian Cultural Days which opened on Thursday in Hanoi to foster mutual understanding and traditional friendship.

Russia's State Secretary and Deputy Culture Minister Alexander Zhuravsky said that cultural relations between Russia and Vietnam have strongly developed and frequent cultural exchanges have boosted bilateral ties.

Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy said: “Since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties 67 years ago, Vietnam and Russia have witnessed a growing development in cooperation in politics, economics and culture. The Russian Cultural Days in Vietnam will significantly contribute to promoting cultural cooperation between the two countries as well as the development of the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership”.

The event, which runs until next Tuesday, features an exhibition on the nature of Northern Russia, a concert of the Russian National Orchestra, and performance of the famous Beryozka Choreographic Ensemble.
