“Yen Chau Mango Festival 2024 is held at district level, displaying booths of communes and towns, offering mango picking contest, Xoe dance performances and mango garden tours. The festival is held at the time when mangoes are ripe to promote the Yen Chau mango brand and honor growers, introducing the land and people of Yen Chau to a large number of friends and tourists inside and outside the province," said Mr. Cuong

"This will be a premise to make tourism of Kha village and Yen Chau district develop commensurate with the district's potential and advantages,” he added.

On behalf of the leaders of Son La province, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, addressed the opening ceremony. He said Through the mango festival, we continue to organize production well. Yen Chau people already know how to make delicious plums, lower branches, and create canopy. They will do the same with mangoes, so that the fruit will turn out the best output value and quality."

"Next, through mango, we bring cultural value to domestic provinces and cities and go global, to prove one thing: this product promotion will be followed by indigenous tourism activities. Each person who helps consume a mango is bringing the culture of Son La people to other parts of Vietnam and the world. Each mango festival is a message about Son La's agricultural production, promoting culture and people of Son La to the wider public,” according to Mr. Cong.
