(VOVWORLD) -The Health Ministry announced 248 new COVID-19 infections Tuesday noon, bringing the morning’s total count to 525.

242 of the latest cases were domestically transmitted and were detected in HCM city, Hanoi, Phu Yen, Long An, Thanh Hoa, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Bac Ninh, and Ha Nam.
Most of them were in quarantine facilities or locked down areas.
Vietnam has recorded more than 21,500 cases with 94 fatalities.
