25th AARM closes in Thailand
(VOVworld) - The 25th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) ended on Wednesday in Thailand. 10 ASEAN countries took part in competitions in 5 categories: rifle, carbine, pistol men, pistol ladies, and machine gun. The Vietnamese delegation of 55 participants led by Colonel Pham Van Quan finished third with 1 gold medal, 3 silver, and 4 bronze. Thailand finished first, followed by Indonesia. The Royal Thai Land Force hosted the ASEAN Chief of Army Multilateral Meeting from November 22 to 26, attended by land force chiefs from the 10 ASEAN countries. The Vietnamese delegation was led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.
