300 Vietnamese return from Sweden, Finland

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s diplomatic agencies in Sweden and Finland have worked with their counterparts in the host countries to repatriate 300 Vietnamese stranded there because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vietnam Airlines flights departed from Stockholm and Helsinki this week, carrying home students who had completed their study but had expired visas or no accommodations, people under 18, pregnant women, the elderly, those with underlying health problems, and labors who had expired visas or contracts.

Safety measures were strictly observed during the flights. Upon their arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, the returnees had their health checked and were transferred to quarantine camps.
