(VOVworld) – The 44^th meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee closed on Saturday. Deputies approved a resolution on implementing a number of articles of the law on the election of deputies to the National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels.

They also commented on a draft resolution on treatment for the staff of the State Audit of Vietnam. In his closing speech, National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung urged thorough preparations for National Assembly and People’s Council elections including a meeting of the National Electoral Council and a national conference on electoral activities, scheduled for February.
