(VOVworld) – Nearly 450,000 USD were raised at a charity program in Ha Nam province on Sunday to help local poor people celebrate the upcoming Tet holiday. Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan attended the program where donors presented Tet gifts to 120 poor households.

Mai Tien Dung, Secretary of the Ha Nam provincial Party Committee, said local people were sincerely grateful to their benefactors, and especially to businesses for their social responsible activities in recent years. Dung promised the proceeds will reach needy people before Tet.
