(VOVworld) - At least five suspected terrorists were killed and more than 600 suspects were arrested in an extensive operation by security forces in Pakistan's Punjab province following Sunday's deadly suicide blast in the provincial capital Lahore.

At least 74 people including 29 children were killed and more than 300 were injured in the blast that occurred in crowded Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in downtown Lahore on Sunday evening. A splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
