(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese embassy and the Vietnamese Defense Attaché Office in Cambodia held a number of activities on Friday to mark the 69^th anniversary of Vietnam’s People’s Army December 22^nd.

At the memorial monument for Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Phnom Penh, representatives of the Vietnamese embassy, Vietnamese representative offices and overseas Vietnamese observed a minute of silence for the Vietnamese soldiers who died in Cambodia, helping Cambodians fight the Polpol genocidal regime. Secretary of State of Cambodia’s Defense Ministry El Vansarath thanked the Vietnamese People’s Army for supporting Cambodians in the past. He said that the Cambodian army is resolved to maintain its time-honored relationship with the Vietnamese army.
