72nd anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization
(VOVworld) – Various activities are underway nationwide to mark the 72nd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization.

National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on Wednesday met 72 outstanding young pioneers, who have excelled in a campaign called "One thousand good deeds". Ngan said over the past 50 years the campaign has been enthusiastically received and urged the pupils to study harder to become useful citizens and eventually contribute to national construction. Ngan also asked the relevant agencies to pay more attention to child care and protection.
The Central Young Pioneer Council has held a number of activities to teach traditional values. Nguyen Phu Truong is Vice Chairman of the Council: "We focus on educating young people about the traditional values of Vietnamese children, guiding them in specific activities to promote good character in the new context. We’ve also launched an one thousand good deeds campaign focusing on study, environmental protection, and helping the disadvantaged. Through these activities, the children can make a contribution to mark the anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization".
The Young Pioneer Council of Nghe An province held a program called “Awakening the dreams of Nghe An’s children” to encourage disadvantaged children to go to school. 100 gifts will be presented to 100 disadvantaged children with good school marks. Duong Hoang Vu, Chairman of Nghe An province’s Youth Pioneer Council, said: "What is new this year is that activities are held at the same time at all levels. We have organized a campaign of one thousand good deeds and small scale planning. We also try to set good examples for the pupils to follow and organize entertainment activities for poor children".
In Quang Ninh, there is a campaign called “Quang Ninh’s pioneer youth following Uncle Ho’s teaching”, to promote the tradition of “Drinking water, remember the source”. 72 outstanding pioneer youth were honored.
On this occasion, Cao Bang Young Pioneers visited the Pac Bo historical relic site where the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization was first established.
