A contract for design, supply of equipment, and technological services for the Thai Binh 2 thermoelectric project was signed Tuesday by PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PVC) and Sojitz-Daelim Contractors (SDC). The contract, worth more than 826 million USD, includes supply and purchase of the equipment for the turbine and generator areas, technical design, and project consultancy. The Thai Binh 2 Thermoelectric Project, with Petro Vietnam as the investor, and a total investment of US$1.6 billion, is expected to start operation in 2015 with an output of about 6.7 billion kWh per year.
