Truong Quoc Cuong, Deputy Minister of Health, thanked Pfizer for providing training and guidance for use of its COVID-19 vaccine. He said that the delivery is an important milestone for cooperation between Pfizer/BioNtech and Vietnam in the fight against COVID-19.
He urged Pfizer to ensure its delivery schedule of 31 million doses within this year, and consider supplying another 20 million doses as well as the possibility of a vaccine production transfer to Vietnam in the future.
John Paul Pullicino, Country Manager and Chief Representative at Pfizer Vietnam, said providing vaccines to Vietnamese people is their priority, adding that Pfizer believes in its ability to meet and provide safe vaccines for Vietnam. More Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines will be delivered to Vietnam in July.
