(VOVworld) – The Ho Chi Minh City Student Association held a ceremony on Sunday to mark 64 years of the traditional day of Vietnamese Students on Sunday.

87 outstanding students were honored at the event. During the ceremony, delegates and students reviewed developments over the past 64 years. Since January 9, 1950, moral examples like Tran Van On, Tran Boi Co, and Quach Thi Trang have been a guiding flame spreading patriotism to the younger generation.

The Hanoi Student Association also organized a program at Vietnam National University on Sunday called “Pride of Vietnamese Students”. This program welcomes the success of the 9^th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association for the 2013-2018 term. Some 600 students formed the logos of the Vietnamese Student Association and Hanoi’s Volunteer Club.
