Agreement signed on Germany’s 2024-2025 ODA for Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Germany have signed an agreement on official development assistance (ODA) for Vietnam in the 2024-2025 period.

At their annual meeting in Bonn, Germany, this week, the two sides reviewed the implementation in 2022 and 2023 of agreements and commitments related to ODA, and made policy recommendations to address shortcomings and challenges.

In 2021, the German Government pledged more than 150 million EUR in development and technical cooperation aid to Vietnam.  

Overall, the German Government deemed development cooperation with Vietnam "successful", and as "very good" the quality of cooperation and the effectiveness of triangular cooperation with Vietnam.
