Agricultural sector restructured for climate change response
(VOVWORLD) - Severe drought has affected various provinces in the southern central coastal region. Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen have confronted drought and shortage of water for two consecutive years.
Head of the Regional Research and Development Institute of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Lê Tất Khương, said agricultural restructure could be a way out: “Each region has different topographic, soil and sub-climate conditions, leading to various climate change impacts. Agricultural zoning and restructuring could help promote supply chain transfer and efficient application of science and technology by businesses.”
