(VOVworld) - A meeting between Algeria, Egypt and Italy took place in Algiers on Monday to discuss the situation in Libya.

The meeting brought together Minister of Maghreb Affairs, the African Union and the Arab League, Abdelkader Messahel, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukry, and Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni.
The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the ministers will examine the situation in Libya and explore ways to accelerate the inter-Libyan dialogue process, sponsored by the United Nations, to find a political solution leading to the formation of a national unity government.
