Exhibits are divided into three parts, with the first looking at the historical background of the Vietnamese resistance war against US aggression, the second on the Paris Conference in 1973, and the third on the Great Victory of the Ho Chi Minh Offensive in April 1975. Vu Xuan Huong, Director of the National Archives Centre III, said ‘Materials about the Democratic Republic of Vietnam are taken from the National Archives Centre III and the Central Party Committee Office’s Archive Department while the documents about the Sai Gon Administration are provided by the National Archives Centre II. Materials about the US government come from the US National Archives and Records Administration. Many documents are previously unpublished. For example, before the Vietnamese delegation departed for negotiations, President Ho Chi Minh wrote a short but concise letter to make careful recommendations and orientations for domestic and foreign affairs. Also on display are tapes recording more than 200 official and unofficial meetings of the Paris Conference.’
