ASEAN, Canada promote cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - ASEAN and Canada have agreed on comprehensive cooperation in politics, security, economics, and culture, according to the 8th meeting of the ASEAN-Canada Joint Cooperation Committee in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Tuesday.

ASEAN and Canada will focus their cooperation efforts on fighting cross-border terrorism and crime; trade; investment; micro, small, and medium enterprises; science; technology; cyber security; connectivity; smart cities; climate change; natural disaster mitigation; and disease prevention.
Both sides promised to finalize the ASEAN-Canada Plan of Action for 2021-2025 and submit it to the ASEAN-Canada Ministerial Meeting in early August.
