(VOVworld) - The Asia Pacific Military Health Exchange (APMHE) closed in Da Nang after 5 days of working. Approximately 500 participants from 24 countries and territories in Asia Pacific region discussed infectious diseases, the role of the medical non-commissioned officer, medical support in peacekeeping operations, the health effects of climate change, nursing roles and a dozen more breakout health topics. Major General Dr. Vu Quoc Binh, Head of the Military Medical Department under the Ministry of National Defense, said: "The exchange gave us an opportunity to look at ourselves, to see where we stand, and what and how we should cooperate in future for better integration and effectively address common non-traditional threats to the region and the world."
The “Global Health Cooperation” theme of the exchange, came as part of activities to mark the 20th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the United States and Vietnam.
