(VOVWORLD) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of Australia Tony Smith began an official three-day visit to Vietnam on Monday.

The visit was made at the invitation of Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
Since diplomatic relations were established in 1973, Vietnam and Australia have built a strong partnership, culminating in a strategic partnership in 2018.
