(VOVWORLD) - The southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau will host a series of events in the coming months to lure more foreign visitors.

Tran Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Toursim, said,
"Between now and the end of the year, we will focus on toursim activities in Xuyen Moc, Long Dien, and Dat Do districts. First will be a Tourism Week, part of our tourism promotion programs. The second event will be the Tourism Connectivity Conference in Ho Tram, where domestic travel agents will meet with foreign partners."
Vung Tau welcomed more than 8.5 million visitors in the last 7 months, earning 374 million USD.
In July alone it received more than 1.4 million visitors, up 24% from the same period last year, the provincial Department of Tourism said on Sunday.
