At the ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong said that, from a purely agricultural province, Bac Giang has become a dynamically developing province, a bright spot in many fields. The province’s economic growth, investment attraction, export, and industrial development are always among the leaders, he said: “Cadres, Party members, and ethnic people in Bac Giang province should make a greater effort and show greater creativity in following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings in the new situation. Bac Giang should strive toward comprehensive and solid development to become one of Vietnam’s 15 leading economic development localities by 2025 and be a rich province with prosperous people as Uncle Ho wished.”

President Thuong asked Bac Giang province to strongly transform its economic and growth model, and promote science and technology along with innovation and higher labor productivity.
