Bac Giang lychees

Lychee orchards in Bac Giang province that conform to GlobalGap standards, have doubled from 40 to 80 hectares in the past year, while orchards with VietGap certification increased by 1,000 hectares. Farmers have strived to produce the world’s best-quality lychees in order to penetrate foreign markets.

Bac Giang lychees must undergo strict tending, harvesting, and transportation to get a green light from the Japanese market. Lychees are tested five times before being harvested, then immediately transported to factories to be sterilized, packaged, and refrigerated.
