(VOVWORLD) - The Bac Lieu Culture-Tourism Week themed opened in Bac Lieu city in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on Wednesday.

The event honors the song “Night drum beats cause longing for absent husband”, composed in 1919 by songwriter Cao Văn Lầu, promotes the UNESCO-recognized “Don ca tai tu” (Southern amateur music), and boosts Bac Lieu’s tourism.
The event will run until Sunday.
